The time has come to say goodbye..
Dutch Version Dear people, The time has come to say goodbye.. I write this final announcement with pain in my hear, but it's over.. Delta Commanders has made her imprint in the W:ET Community already by now. Therefore it's time to say goodbye to everyone. The amount of players is decreasing day after day, and so does the activity in many servers. It's really a shame to see the servers getting inactive day after day after all we have been through. The same applies for all the great admins of DC who've put much time to keep things running. Delta Commanders is established with the purpose to provide a special place for people like us want to have fun while playing games, without other players who're here to screw up things. Now that the servers are getting inactive, it's practical impossible to fulfill this priority. Partly because of this we have decided to say goodbye. We have done our best, and seen the period in which DC was active (9 February 2009 - 1 May 2013), I really think we haven't done badly. Delta Commanders is a community consisting of a united group of gamers. Without those gamers there wouldn't have been a community at all. To prevent Delta Commanders from bleeding dead completely, we've decided to end it here with all of you so that every single one of you can think back to the awesome time here in Delta Commanders. It's an indescribable feeling to look back to the fact that Delta Commanders begun like every other community and grew out to one of the biggest, or the biggest community on W:ET. Many of our projects became true and we're glad we could help others with this. It was practical impossible to run Delta Commanders on my own. There are so many people involved with managing Delta Commanders during her time of existence, but I'd like to thank the following persons in special because they've had a great influence on how Delta Commander has finally become. - Little You've managed to create Delta Commanders together with me as aim to provide a special place for people where always hangs a cozy atmosphere. I think we did pretty well. Not only you´ve brought many changes to DC, you also pushed me further and further to get everything out of me what could be get out of me for the well-being of Delta Commanders. Thanks for that, Little. Without you, DC may never have existed. - Chasin One does not see you very often anymore, but you have done a great job as manager of DC. You made it possible to maintain the peace and cosiness in DC so that everything ran really smoothly. I'm sure a lot of people still have nice memories of you. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to you way before this moment.. - Smootsy An awesome friend and great right hand. Without you, I'd never been able and willing to keep Delta Commanders running. You've had such a great influence on Delta Commanders that it has become impossible to imagine you away. From security to gameservers, from coding to managing, you could do everything like one of the best. Thanks for everything you've done for Delta Commanders. I'm somewhere glad though that I can quit Delta Commanders together with you.. - Dude Like Smootsy you've left a big impression on Delta Commanders. It was really great to work together with you on our community. You've managed to please me during bad times, and gave me and Smootsy the possiblity to fulfill other tasks. I'm not lieing when I say that we 3 could have been the DreamTeam of whole Delta Commanders her existence ;) Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to you before this moment.. Thanks for everything my friend! And may the odds be always in your favor. - Kane Our last-minute hero! When practically everything was on the edge of closing, you proposed to help us getting things running again. Unforunately we've had too less time, and it already was too late. I'm sure you would have been a great choice when we had more time.. My sincere apology for the ones I have not mentioned here. It was an honour to be in a community like Delta Commanders with all of you, I've had my fun because of YOU. I really hope you did as well. Hereby I officially close Delta Commanders. To make sure rumors won't come far: Delta Commanders is not coming back (anytime soon). We will use our reclaimed free time to spend on other things than managing a community, how hard and silly this may sound. A big, big thanks to everyone who have been loyal to us till the end. Without you, DC may never have existed! Unfortunately, we can't know what the future will bring us, and because it would be a shame that everything gets deleted out of nowhere, we will stay in possesion of both the domain and the backups of our 'mother-server' and the website itself. Partly because of avoiding abuse, it's useless to ask for this data. It was a great time with all of you! We have learned a lot and we are confident that we have spent our time well in time that Delta Commanders existed.
